Luxury Home Design with Italian Style

Italian style homes were the most popular style in the United States. Many historians say this style was favored for two reasons; these homes could be built with many different materials and the style could be easily adapted depending on the budget. Plus, several new technologies of the Victorian Era made it possible to quickly and inexpensively produce cast-iron and press-metal decorations.

Italian style homes feature a flat or low-pitched roof, widely overhanging eaves with large decorative brackets underneath, tall narrow windows and sometimes elaborate wrap-around porches. This style dominated the housing styles in America from 1850-1880 and is a very common style throughout San Francisco, but due to the height of the Civil War in the South, they are uncommon in the that region of the country.

Today, several luxury home design in the world used Italian style, that's make the design come more popular in home and architecture.

Minimalist Bathroom Design, a Smart Solution of Home Design

Minimalist room design is smart solution for lack of room and space used, on these picrture we can see several sample of minimalist bathroom design. On above picture, there is a black and white bathroom ideas with white wall. Almost all of bathroom used white and black color, simple bathroom vanity and toilet paper holder used minimalistic shape.

On above picture, there is another minimalist bathroom ideas with two toliets and small bathroom vanity and completed with bathroom cabinet as a storage. And on below picture, there is a smart solution for reducing the space with installing glass shower to make the room looks larger. The hanging cabinet let the floor looks larger, and the lighting setting can improve the lighting sources.

The Morning Star Cafe

I just got an email from J.D. Ray with pictures of his cafe in Portland, which has recently reopened in a new space with a steampunk inspired decor. (My plans for world domination march forward, as J.D. says "the pictures, projects, and general ideas on things that you've posted on your blog were instrumental in us developing the decor for our cafe.")


The cafe features warm coloring, fabulous light fixtures, and a lovely gear laden mural.
