as some of you may know I have done ceramics in school and is starting a new ceramics line - I am happy to announce that I will be selling some of them at the one of a kind show here in toronto. every year that show is very successful for us and to be able to launch a new product is very exciting. I will have them in the bookhou shop as well as etsy. more on that later.

at one point in my life I dreamed about being a potter and living in the country. Timothy Smith has a studio near the cottage called gleason brook pottery. I'm sure if you were a ceramics student at sheridan you would of interned with him. his studio is above his shop and his lovely house is behind the kiln building. I sometimes wonder if I could be away from the city - I'm sure I would enjoy it in the warmer weather. if you go visit gleason brook pottery and timothy happens to busy - no worries, you can have a browse and make your own change.

I am addicted to the yummy stroopwafels and thought I would put a call out on my FB to anyone in the netherlands that could send me some and gitte came to the rescue - I am trying to savour them - they are by far the best I ever had. thanks again gitte for the stroopwafels and the keychain with the lovely lavender smell.

hello everyone,

I hope you had a great weekend - I returned early this morning from my trip up north. I had a great time at the craft show - I have a hard time with the bugs and hot weather - I'm such a city girl. barbara and I had the most amazing spot - it was shady all day and we had a wonderful breeze. we stayed at her sister lorraine's house - a beautiful home deep in the woods. whenever we would exit the car I would run screaming to the house, with bugs trailing behind me. the first photo was my view from my bed. it's nice to get away from the noise of the city and to the quiet calm of the country. I am busy this morning tending to a packed email in-box and to many orders to work on and get in the post.
